Looking Up: The Duty the Flag Is Owed

No design, no typography — a real flag on a real pole against an empty sky, photographed the way a passer-by sees it. Most of the country meets the Tiranga exactly like this: by looking up.

The Constitution asks something of that glance. Article 51A makes it the fundamental duty of every citizen to respect the national flag and the national anthem — the very first duty it lists. The Code governs how the flag is flown; the Constitution governs how it is regarded.
